How do you verify that the benefactor (the FortKnoxster user) is actually dead?

We do not verify this. If the benefactor does not log into FortKnoxster for a default period of 12 months (the benefactor can change this period to ie. 6 months or 36 months), we give the chosen beneficiaries access to all of the benefactors information and key.

So basically, the benefactor does not need to be dead in order to trigger the “Dead man's switch”. He could fail to login, ie. if he lost his memory or other emergency has occurred.
